Timetable improvements from Sunday 1 September

We're always keen to improve our reliability for you. With this in mind, the below timetable improvements will apply from Sunday 1 September:

Red2
  • Revised timetable on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays in the afternoons to improve reliability

  • The 2332 journey on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays is retimed to 2335 from City Centre

  • On Sundays, the 1832 and 2000 (was 1932) journeys from City Centre will additionally operate via Bishopdown Farm

PR3/Red3
  • One minor change on Sunday mornings, where the 06:14 Red 3 from Wilton is replaced by a new Red10 journey (see Red10 for details)
Red5
  • On Sunday evenings, the 1905 journey from City Centre is retimed to depart at 1935

  • Revised timetable on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays in the afternoons to aid reliability

PR7/Red7
  • No change except on Saturdays, the 07:44 Lopcombe Corner to Salisbury is removed and replaced with a Stagecoach 87 from Sat 7/9 - we will then operate a new 0749 round trip City-Bishopdown Farm-City.

  • No change except the 08:30 ex Quidhampton on Monday-Friday will now operate 10 minutes later at 0840

FANTASTIC NEWS FOR RED 10!

 We have listened to your feedback and added the below journeys:

  • New additional Monday to Saturday evening City-St Peters Place-City journeys between 1855 and 2245, operating approximately every 40 minutes

  • New Sunday morning journey starting from Wilton Market Place at 0606 to replace existing Red3, then via The Avenue and St Peters Place to Coronation Road (to continue as Red1 to Bemerton Heath, City and Hospital)

  • Additional Sunday early evening journeys at 1900 and 2032

  • Revised timetable for reliability improvements. The last journey on Saturdays has been brought forward by 30 minutes from 1455 to 1425

BIG IMPROVEMENTS!

  • A brand new timetable, with new faster journeys on the new X2 route (via Devizes Road, A360 and Stonehenge to Shrewton, not the A36) - the X2 gives a great new link between Devizes and Stonehenge!

  • Certain journeys will be numbered 2A and operate via a new route between Wilton and Stoford

  • First and last journeys from/to Devizes will start from/end at Hopton Roundabout, to serve the nearby housing development

NOW EVERY 20 MINUTES!

  • On Mondays to Saturdays there will be a new timetable every 20 minutes daytime, and additional time in journeys to aid reliability

  • Sunday timetable remains hourly plus short journeys as current

  • By working with our partners at Wiltshire Council, we have been able to use funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan to enhance this service for you.

  • On Mondays to Saturdays, the 1900 ex Winterslow Gunville, will operate 5 minutes later at 1905, and this journey will no longer serve Bishopdown Farm

  • Revised timetable to improve reliability, notably the 08:23 from Winterslow Gunville will now leave earlier at 08:20

  • Revised timetable to improve reliability - the 0930 from Figheldean will run 5 minutes later.  All journeys towards Amesbury will leave from New Canal stop S and Castle Street Tesco, and will no longer stop in Blue Boar Row

  • The afternoon journey will now be operated by Stagecoach (a diversion of an X67 journey)
  • We will run a morning 601 journey at 08:35 from South Wilts Grammar School to Stratford sub Castle Primary School and return to South Wilts Grammar School

  • The 1545 journeys from Laverstock Schools will leave earlier at 1540

  • The morning journey will now terminate in the City Centre but any customers for Castle Road may remain on the bus as it will turn into an X4 to Larkhill.  The afternoon journey no longer starts from Exeter Street and will instead start from Laverstock Schools at 1610

Blue Boar Row bus stop changes

In order to make journeys as reliable as possible, we need to move some of our services at the Blue Boar Row bus stops.

The Red1 to Salisbury District Hospital remain on bus stop O, whilst the Red14 to Harnham Hill and evening services after 1900 on Red2 & Red5 are not affected and will remain on bus stop M.

*Please note that for the 201 service, all journeys towards Amesbury will leave from New Canal bus stop S, then stop at Castle Street Tesco bus stop K. This service will no longer start journeys from Blue Boar Row.
