Service 2/2A/X2 - timetable and route change in Devizes from Monday 27th January 2025

Northgate Street in Devizes remains closed southbound, and this is likely to continue for some time yet.  With this in mind, Wiltshire Council have asked us to amend the timetable and route of services 2/2A/X2 as follows:

Journeys arriving in Devizes

Buses will end their journey at the bus stop in the Market Place outside The Pelican (except the 1745 from Salisbury which will continue as normal to Hopton Road). There are no changes to timings in this direction.

Journeys to Salisbury (excluding the first journey)

Buses will start their journey from the bus stop in the Market Place outside The Pelican, then operate via Northgate Street, New Park Street and Southbroom Road to rejoin the normal route from Potterne Road onwards. 
All journeys in this direction will depart The Pelican 5 MINUTES EARLIER to allow for the longer diversion. 

Special arrangement for the first journey towards Salisbury only 

This journey will run 2 minutes earlier from Hopton Road and Coate Roundabout timing points then will travel via Southbroom Road and Long Street to Market Place (The Pelican). 
It will then leave the Pelican 3 minutes earlier then via the diversion to rejoin the normal route at Potterne Road as other journeys above.

The amended departure times in Devizes described above are the only alterations and all other timings from Potterne onwards remain the same.
