Come and see us at the Cuckoo Fair this Saturday!
Join us between 10am and 4.30pm on Saturday 2nd May 2026 for this fantastic FREE event.
Held in Downton, south of Salisbury, the fair transforms the picturesque village into a pedestrian-only festival site offering fun for all the family:
- Shop and Feast Browse over 250 stalls selling high-quality arts, crafts, local produce and gifts, plus savour street food and drinks from local artisans.
- Tradition & Music Watch Maypole and Morris dancing, or dance and sing to live performances from local acts including our very own Downton Brass Band.
- Family Fun Don’t miss our opening parade and crowning of the Cuckoo Fair Princess. And with fairground games, craft demonstrations, Punch and Judy shows and street performers, there’s something for everyone
We will be raising funds for our Charity of the Year, Stars Appeal - Salisbury District Hospital's Charity
- Lucky Dip Lots of prizes to be won with our lucky dip for £1
- Dr Bear Guess the name of Dr Bear and take him home for only £2
- Explore our Electric! Hop aboard one of our brand new electric buses
Get there by bus
You can get to the Cuckoo Fair by hopping on an X3 or a 44 service. Single fares are still capped at just £3 and we have plenty of ticket options for the whole family.
PLUS up to 2 children under 7 go free with a fare paying adult!
