Christmas on the Square

Join the fun with Christmas on the Square – a festive pop-up right in the heart of Salisbury!

Meet Santa in his grotto, treat yourself to delicious food, relax in the bar with live music and entertainment on select days, and explore a charming selection of 10 festive retail huts.

Late night shopping

Salisbury is opening LATER and on MORE DATES this Christmas! Whether you've got presents to buy or you want to treat yourself to a new Christmas party outfit, big brands and indies alike will be open until 8pm on Thursdays in December!

With markets running on the four Sundays before Christmas, there are plenty of chances to explore the stalls, indulge in delicious food and drink, and find those special gifts for your loved ones.

Starlit Trail

Follow that star...

A mix of ‘stellar’ art installations are bejewelling our magical medieval streets, with interactive, community and light-based projects alike. Make a wish upon a star, take a selfie by the Galactic Gateway, hop, skip and jump your way through the city and star-gaze in the High Street!

All elements have been created, made and delivered by individuals from, or with a connection to Salisbury.

St Thomas's Christmas Tree Festival

Now in its 21st year, the St Thomas’s Salisbury Christmas Tree Festival will once more bring seasonal cheer and the true meaning of Christmas to visitors.

With over 100 decorated trees and nativity scenes on show and backed by a continuous seasonal music programme, played and sung by talented local musicians, the festival promises to be a true feast for the senses, and a reminder of the true Christmas message. All this effort is provided by the local community to raise money for this year’s nominated charities: Clouds House and Julia’s House.
