Charity Support

Reds COTY Stars Appeal

We are throwing our support behind Stars Appeal - by naming the Salisbury District Hospital’s Charity as our official good cause for 2024 and 2025.

Salisbury Reds will spend the next two years raising funds and awareness to help the charity provide a wide range of services for patients and their families.

The Stars Appeal raises money to create the best possible experience for patients and their families by funding extra care and equipment over and above that provided by the NHS.

Our relationship with the charity spans more than 10 years - with many of our staff benefiting directly from the support it provides. Reds colleagues voted, and we're delighted we will once again be raising as much money as possible for this vital resource.

Salisbury Reds has a busy calendar of fundraising planned, and will also be promoting the charity on-board and on the rear of a bus.

We hope our messages will be seen by thousands traveling across the region - and this will help increase awareness for this very worthy cause.

The Stars Appeal works hard to help local people across all wards and departments, with a particular focus on cancer, cardiac care and children.

Consultant cardiologist and Stars Appeal ambassador Dr Tom Jackson said: “We are so grateful that Salisbury Reds continue to provide their brilliant support for the Stars Appeal.

“They have supported us for many years and now to be their Charity of the Year is fantastic. In my department the Stars Appeal has made an incredible difference by funding a second lab in our cardiac suite and other state-of-the-art equipment. The support of Salisbury Reds will help us do even more for patients across the Hospital. Thank you so much.”
