Special buses planned for Stonehenge during Winter Solstice
2 weeks ago
Here at Salsbury Reds, we take great pride in our local heritage and as such we want to make it as easy as possible to experience the spectacular sunrise at Stonehenge this Winter Solstice.
We're running our 333 service between 6.00am and 6.40am from Salisbury New Canal on Sunday 22 December - with buses returning from Stonehenge between 9.15am and 10.15am.
The 333 service will also be handily stopping at Salisbury Railway Station and The Centre bus stops on the A345 in Amesbury.
The aim is to make it as stress-free as possible for people to come and take in the magical atmosphere at Stonehenge early on Sunday morning. Parking at Stonehenge is very limited, so English Heritage recommends that people travel by public transport or car share wherever possible. However you travel, make sure you wrap up warm and be prepared for a chilling morning!
Tickets from Salisbury cost £10 for an adult return. These can also be used to travel back to Salisbury on the official tour bus, for those wishing to leave the site later on. Child tickets (between 5 and 14 years) cost £5 return.
You can see full details of our special service, including timetable and fare information on our dedicated Winter Solstice information sheet.
