Take a Nutcracker Selfie and WIN!

Salisbury Nutcracker Trail

Christmas is all about fun and spending time with your family and friends.

So, we've teamed up with the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) to sponsor this year’s festive Nutcracker Trail.

We wanted to give it a modern twist so have added a bit of Selfie fun to the trail too - and even better you can win a £100 Salisbury gift card.

The trail challenges participants to track down the names of 10 nutcracker kings, which can be found at secret locations across Salisbury.  For this element of the trail you will need an entry form, which can be found at various locations around the city centre including our travel shop in the Cross Keys Arcade.

Those taking part must use the map on the entry form to track down our 10 nutcracker kings, note down their names and post their answers in a special post box, situated in the city centre. But that’s not the end of it. We also want to see some fun nutcracker selfies.

So, during the competition - between Saturday 30 November and Sunday 5 January - we are asking people to visit a nutcracker, take their selfie and then post it to Instagram with the hashtag #SalisburyNutcrackerTrail.

Make sure you follow @salisbury_reds and add #salisburyreds and #salisburybid to your entry selfie

We think this is a great way to get people out-and-about exploring the city, with all the delights it has to offer. And leaving your car at home and travelling by bus is a great way to have fun without having to worry about parking at this very busy time of year.

The best selfie will receive a £100 gift card to spend in Salisbury, and the winner of the Nutcracker Trail will be drawn at random - with a gift card and a one month Salisbury Reds network pass as the prizes.”

We’re looking forward to receiving all your splendid selfies – happy snapping!
