Ringwood

Ringwood

Ringwood is the western gateway to the New Forest, and home to the regular Wednesday charter market which has been held there since 1226.

Ringwood is also very proud to be the first town in the New Forest to achieve the Fair-trade status which it did in 2007.

Home to Ringwood Brewery, a collection of designer and independent shops, large supermarkets including Sainsbury’s and Waitrose as well as an abundance of delightful cafes, Ringwood is a wonderful place to whittle away a few hours.

Liberty’s Owl and Rapture centre houses a large collection of birds of prey as well as reptiles and creepy crawlies. They are a rescue centre for birds and also take part in conservation and breeding programmes in the UK and abroad. There’s a variety of shows and displays for you to see.

If you’re after a more adventurous day out then head to Go Ape where you can enjoy zip wires through the great scenery Ringwood has to offer.
