Fordingbridge
Fordingbridge, named after the first Great Bridge with its seven graceful arches built in medieval times, is a town with many hidden treasures.
The beautiful River Avon flows through the centre of Fordingbridge and large children’s play areas, memorial gardens and a delightful park mean there is a wealth of outdoor space. There is also a large bronze statue in honour of the controversial painter, Augustus John.
If you are looking for something indoors then Fordingbridge has an abundance of independent shops and boutiques. The Fordingbridge Museum houses the local history exhibits and Branksome China.
