Using the bus can help alleviate congestion, reduce harmful emissions and help make the environment a nicer place for everyone. Did you know that even a half full bus is considerably more fuel-efficient than a car with just a driver in it? And, per person, it takes up a fraction of the road space. Travelling by bus is a readily accessible, socially inclusive form of transport.
We have invested in new buses powered by the latest fuel-efficient engines and we use ultra low suplhur diesel to keep them going. With our rigorous maintenance schedules buses have regular emission tests.
It's not just the buses that are doing their bit, we have installed energy-efficient lighting in our workshop areas and our bus depot has a state of the art, environmentally efficient bus wash with significantly reduced use of water and chemicals.
